Ronald D'Mello

Managing Director & CEO

A chartered accountant turned business leader, Ronald is one of the longest serving professionals in media industry since 1991 and has seen the growth of media Industry in India being at the thick of action. He was one of the founder members of UTV Software communications Limited ( UTV ) and was designated chief operating officer of UTV and Chief Executive Officer of new media vertical of UTV during his 15 year stint with UTV. He also had a working stint in one of the businesses of STAR India Limited as Chief Financial Officer. An active member of various media related industry forums Ronald has represented media industry regulatory authorities in various common interest initiatives.

Ronald leads the strategy and corporate management of education, content and services verticals of Maya Entertainment Limited .

Atul Vohra

President

Sound entrepreneurial acumen, keen understanding of quality standards and Avid technology buff are the three qualities that distinguish Atul Vohra, the President of Education, Maya Entertainment Ltd.
An Electronics and Telecom engineer with specialization in Computer Technology, Atul began his career as an entrepreneur in his family run business and today has 18 years of rich experience.
He is popular among his colleagues for any kind of support, among the students as a friend ready to give career advice. .

Mukund Argikar

Chief Financial Officer

Mukund Argikar is a Chartered Accountant and a law graduate with more than 25 years experience in various industries including entertainment industry. He has worked as head of accounts/finance/legal/taxation departments for more than 20 years. His experience spreads over: raising finance from various financial institutions/commercial banks, handling both direct as well as indirect tax matters, dealing with company law matters, liaising with various Govt. agencies and other corporate legal matters.

Sanjiv Waeerkar

Chief Creative Officer

With over 17 years in the animation industry, Sanjiv can easily be called as a pioneer and a huge driving force in the animation industry. Be it a 30 second commercial for any of the international brands to a high end 90 min 3D animation feature films, he has done it all. Sanjiv has worked with all the illustrious advertising agencies like, JWT, Lintas, O&M, Mudra, Trikaya Grey to name a few. By 1997 he had worked for more than 100 high end television commercials. His company RMB of which he became a partner in 1996 was rated the best in the industry and is the only animation studio to have won three consecutive IFFA awards. One of the prominent recognition was the 2002 excellence in animation award held in Singapore for “Meena in the city”. 1997 saw RMB merging with UTV to form a first of its kind animation outsourcing setup called “UTV Toons”. The years with UTV saw him directing international TV series “King”, “For better or for worse” for Funbag in Canada, “Untalkative Bunny” for Dynomight in Canada, award winning 13 episodes TV show for TV12 Singapore called ‘JO KILAT”. “Tree Monsters” for French channel, “Dr. Disaster” a mini TV series, 3D home DVD series for BKN, with popular titles like Robinhood, King Kong, Christmas Carol and Three Musketeers to name a few, a fully developed award winning show from pre-production to final delivery for the Middle East called “Freej” for Lamtara productions, a TV show for NBC / Entertainment Rights called “321 Penguins”, Mike Young Productions DVD feature “Bratz Super Babyz”, “The ring of fire” a 2D TV series for Disney, etc. Sanjiv is an active founder member of TASI (The Animation Society of India) a prominent organization active in promoting animation in the country. He has been a jury for most of the animation platforms in the country. Also taken part in discussions regarding the industry in NASSCOM, FICCI, TAPI. Sanjiv takes active participation in seminars and workshops for different animation schools, studios and organizations. Sanjiv presently operates as “Creative Director and Mentor” at UTV’s animation studio.

Vikas Tewari

Senior Vice President & Zonal Head (North & East)

Vikas has over 7 years of experience in Sales and Marketing Operations, Business Development and Network management and Development in the Education & Training sector. He has worked with some of the top names in the education and training business and has been awarded time and again for his excellent leadership skills and performance.

Kingshuk Gupta

Senior Vice President & Corporate Communications Head

A Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIPM, New Delhi, he has more than 7 years of experience in Public Relation, Advertising, Events & Marketing. He has worked for some of the top companies in Energy & Power sector, Automobiles, IT, Educational Institutes, Aviation, Government Bodies & Organizations. His excellence in people management skills and understanding the business vibe has been widely acclaimed by the industry.

Yogesh Panjanani

Vice President – Business Development

Mr. Panjanani has over 10 years of diverse corporate experience. His last assignment has been with Multi Commodity Exchange of India ltd., a leading commodity exchange of India as AVP – India & International. His main focus area in the organization was to spread the educational programmes on commodities markets through franchise, educational institutes, corporate etc. He has also been associated with leading educational organizations like NIIT, SQL Star international. His stint with NIIT was for 4 ½ years as a channel development manager before heading a branch. He started his career from a logistic company as BDM-APAC. He has received various accolades and recognitions & brings with him a vast experience in retail, corporate marketing and channel development. Mr. Panjanani is a bachelors of Arts (Economics) and has masters in marketing management. He is spearheading the expansion of the education vertical outside conventional modules hitherto serviced by MAAC.

Aruna Kumar

Vice President & Zonal Head (South)

Following her post-graduation in Sales and Marketing, Aruna Kumar has been involved in the dynamic field of Education Training for over seven years now. Starting off as a Franchise Manager at Shogun Degem Learner Ltd, she later joined the software house Killick Challenger Technologies Ltd. (KTCL) as a Business Development Manager - Franchise where her duties began with identifying potential franchise territories to ensuring successful launch and sustained development. In 2002 she joined Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics as a Marketing Manager and played a pivotal role in the expansion and growth of MAAC in the Western India region. Building and maintaining relationships with MAAC Channel Partners, Corporates and Publishing Houses is her forte and has seen her rise to the post of a Zonal Manager (South). Currently based in Bangalore , she is responsible for Channel Development & Management, Zonal Operations, Advertising & Public Relations in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka , Tamil Nadu & Kerela.

Bhavika Chouhan

 Vice President & Zonal Head (West)

Bhavika is currently responsible for Channel Management,Operations,Advertizing and Public relation for entire western region.

With over six years of experience in the IT services sector across sales and marketing,Bhavika Chouhan has proven skills in creating and managing alliances and strategic partnerships as well as conceptualising new initiatives to drive brand building. A Post Graduate in Science, Bhavika started off as a Centre Manager for a leading IT Training company in 2001, she has worked at the grassroots level and has played multiple roles as a counsellor, trainer, course designer and manager.   

In her previous role as an Assistant Manager for another leading IT company, she managed the    product portfolio of their animation training wing for two years - assigning targets to sales teams, devising strategies for brand building, new product developments, and pricing, conducting sales training programmes for counsellors and interacting with media agencies for communication strategies. 

Meghna Dixit

 Vice President - Human Resource

Meghna Dixit is a young HR Professional with a background in setting up HR Processes and building teams within broadcast and new media environment. Prior to joining MEL as Associate Vice President-Human Resources, Meghna has worked in Nimbus Communications Limited as Head-HR and has contributed in planning, recruiting and shaping the team for their sports channel Neo Sports and Neo Sports Plus and Home Video venture. She has had a fair stint in overall direction and control of Human Resources functional areas such as Recruitment & Selection, Strategic HR Management, Culture Building and Setting up HR policies and processes for Employee Relations and Performance Management. She was also appointed by Personiva Inc. to work towards setting up the people and people related process for their Indian Operations. A school/college topper, AIR child artiste, winner of various debate, creative writing and public presentation contest, Meghna has done her PGDBA in Human Resource Management from International School of Business & Media, Pune

Gaurav Markan

Associate Vice President - Operations

Starting his career as a Quality Analyst after doing his Masters in Software Technology and rendering services to leading gaming companies, Gaurav stepped into the 3D Animation industry in 2003 and since then has worked with a leading French company designing real-time graphics for India's leading automobile companies, also ensuring quality and integrity checks. He has also been involved with Software training for designers, and training clients on execution of simulators, graphics production planning and research. At MAAC, Gaurav heads in the capacity of Associate Vice President (Operations) and has been instrumental in designing process operation strategies and managing student placements as well.
